I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics and the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics at University of Toronto.

Current Highlights:

  • Studying the dynamics and chemical abundance histories of galaxies in the early universe
  • Project Scientist of IRIS (Infrared Imaging Spectrograph), a first light instrument for the future Thirty Meter Telescope
  • Principal Invesigator of a new OSIRIS grating for Keck Observatory
  • Optical and near-infrared instrumentation for the search for extraterrestrial intelligence
